Fuchsia Cottage, our self catering gite in Southern Brittany near Lorient, provides ideal family accommodation. The holiday cottage is also popular with couples. Fuchsia Cottage can sleep up to 6 people.

There is a large downstairs bedroom with en suite shower room suitable for those less mobile and a further two spacious bedrooms upstairs.

Open plan lounge with classic and comfortable seating for 7 tucked around the large granite fire place with wood burning stove.

In summer, no air-conditioning is necessary – the cottage is the ideal refuge when hot and in winter the warmth of a wood burning fire keeps the cottage warm and cosy.

There are 4 acres of magnificent shared garden and forest where nature lovers can take advantage of the wonderful wildlife direct on your doorstep and early birds can see the roe deer eating on the lawns. There are fresh herbs to pick throughout the gardens. With ample space to stretch legs, the gardens are perfect for both the active and those wanting a relaxing retreat!

There is parking for 3 cars behind the cottage with additional parking to the top of the premises. There is no disabled access.

In the garden you’ll also find:

pine forest providing an imaginary world for little ones

Heated Pools

Pool with nemo - self catering holiday cottages in Brittany

In the communal garden, there are 2 six meter heated pools, side-by-side, fully decked with security fencing and views of the forest and valley. The water depth is a safe 1.2m throughout. These are open from 1 May to 30 September.

The pools are shared between the two cottages, giving children the opportunity to make new friends if you happen to use the facilities at the same time.

There are ample sun-loungers and we have a collection of pool toys available on site.
