Le Saint Mathurin – a new bar-restaurant in Quistinic!
Welcome to the delightfully friendly Caroline and Eric who run “Le Saint Mathurin” in our local village of Quistinic. And if you are struggling with your French, Caroline also speaks English.
The bar is a bit basic in typical French fashion but there is a surprisingly large dining hall behind the bar and even in the short time that Caroline and Eric have run the restaurant we have seen improvements in the decor as they get settled in.
As an alternative, it is possible to sit outside at the front with impressive views of the church, it’s chapel and views over the countryside even though you are in the central square of the village.
There are two things that are noteworthy about St Mathurin:
More flexible eating hours
Other than a Monday when they are closed, you can get both lunch and dinner and in between times (highly unusual in France) you also have a snack menu.
A wide choice
Great value
