Le Crann

Wisteria rosesLe Crann is a perfect paradise from which to explore the delights of Southern Brittany, including many beautiful sandy Southern beaches which are about 30 minutes away.  Within an hours drive there is a huge choice of activities, whether this be beautiful historic towns, fascinating places to visit, a multitude of activities or the opportunity to experience one of many rich cultural events that is an integral part of Breton life. Or simply relax and enjoy the amazing facilities of Le Crann and the Breton countryside.

The tranquil hamlet of Le Crann is situated in the commune of Quistinic, in the heart of the Blavet Valley - an area of outstanding natural beauty where time stands still, people are to be enjoyed and life is to be savoured. Situated at the end of a no through road, Le Crann provides a natural haven to enjoy peace and quiet with the comfort that your children are safe to explore

Secret fountainDiscover the old bread oven that served the hamlet, take a walk down to the ancient spring where only 50 years ago the inhabitants of Le Crann had to fetch their water or take a walk to the popular 16th century village of Poul Fetan, a “living village”; immaculately reconstructed to show life at that time. Le Crann means "crown" of a hill providing the perfect location for stunning views of rolling forested countryside.

However, Le Crann is far from isolated.  Whichever way you travel, the cottages are easy to reach and are 15 minutes off the main N24 motorway from Rennes to Lorient. It is an easy 1 km walk or bike ride to the quaint village of St Yves Bubry, with its traditional French bar and small shop for those morning baguettes and essential groceries. St Yves has its own child-friendly and relaxing restaurant together with its unmissable eclectic bar down by the old mill at Botconan.
