A hidden gem in the stunning countryside of the Blavet Valley, the beautiful self catering cottages at Le Crann are ideally situated to give you a true taste of real Brittany.  

Within easy reach of picturesque sandy beaches, amazing places of important historical and cultural interest, as well as a remarkable number of activities close at hand, Le Crann has one of the most enviable positions in the Blavet Valley with four acres of landscaped gardens, heated swimming pools and rolling views of the forests and valleys.

Each traditional cottage is a true "home from home", well equipped, furnished and maintained to a high standard, detached from each other and south facing with substantial private gardens in which to soak up the sunshine. Fuchsia Cottage

• Sleeps up to 6/8 people

A favourite with families and couples, this enchanting cottage has a large downstairs bedroom with ensuite suitable for the less agile.

Wisteria Cottage

• Sleeps up to 10 people
• 4 bedrooms
• 4 bathroom facilities

Suitable for larger groups this magnificent cottage has been described as one of the best gîtes ever visited by some of our well-travelled guests.

Le Crann (both cottages)

• Sleeps up to 18 people
• 7 bedrooms
• 6 bathroom facilities

Popular with large families and groups who want space to spread out. Wisteria Cottage has all the space and equipment required to be the focal point of all activities.

Originally constructed as farm houses, the cottages are at the heart of the hamlet of Le Crann (meaning “crown of a hill”)  at the end of a no-through road - perfect for those who want a safe and peaceful haven.  Immersed in the stunning countryside, early risers may glimpse roe deer wandering through the gardens or a red squirrel collecting acorns as well as a wonderful display of bird and animal life.  With trails leading directly from the cottages, you are immediately taken back to another time of ancient bread making and magic springs.    If you want to walk or cycle, we can supply mountain bikes, specially designed maps, the official ordnance survey maps and assistance.
 

In the communal grounds, there are two 6m heated pools situated in a secured decked area, the perfect location to while-away a relaxing afternoon with views of the valley and forests. There is a children’s play gym nestled in the grassed amphitheatre with badminton nets and mini-foot provided in the summer months and our pine forest provides a natural playground for children to build camps for their games.

Whilst being in the countryside, Le Crann is close to all the amenities and attractions you could want.  It is an easy 1 km walk or cycle ride to the local village of St Yves to pick up the morning baguette or a drink in the local bar or an easy 8 minute drive to Bubry for all your holiday amenities.   

Perfectly situated only 15 minutes drive from the main motorway, the cottages are located to give a real taste of traditional Brittany with only 5 minutes to the river beach on the Blavet River and about 30 minutes to the coastal beaches of Southern Brittany.  Lorient Airport is 30 minutes away,  Rennes Airport 1 hour 30 minutes and the Ports of Roscoff and St Malo and Airports of Dinard, Brest and Nantes 2 hours away. 

There are 6 golf courses within a 1 hour drive and if you want an impromptu game we can provide two full sets of good quality golf clubs. There are an abundance of local restaurants in the area and popular with many of our guests is the local pizzeria and bar at the old mill at Botconan - only a 5 minute drive or a delightful walk of 30 minutes through the woods.
